Meet somewhere public and busy
Choose a well-used park or a public café at a comfortable time. Avoid isolated routes and private homes for a first meeting. Plan your own journey home.
- Consider sharing your plan with someone you trust.
- Agree an approximate duration and a clear meeting point.
- Keep a way to leave independently; do not depend on a stranger for transport.
Share only what the plan needs
A general area, interest in the activity and available time are usually enough to start. Your home address, identity documents, bank details and access codes are not needed.
Agree the exact meeting point after a request is accepted. Even in a private conversation, the other person can save or forward your words. Share only what you are comfortable trusting them with.
Consent has specific boundaries
Accepting a request allows a conversation to begin. It is not consent to romantic or sexual attention, physical contact, photography or a different meeting location.
You can change your mind, decline a question, cancel a plan or leave a meeting. You do not need to prove that your reason is good enough.
Stop unwanted contact
If someone pressures, insults or crosses your boundaries, end the conversation. Blocking restricts further contact in the product. Reporting helps describe a problem; it is a separate action from blocking.
Reporting and blocking are always available. We do not promise round-the-clock moderation or a guaranteed response time. If you face immediate danger, move to safety and contact the appropriate local emergency services.
Notice when the purpose changes
Requests to send money, open a suspicious website, share an access code or urgently buy something are not part of arranging a walk or coffee. Do not follow those requests.
Kompanion V2 is for adults aged 18 and over and platonic shared activities. An age declaration does not verify identity documents or someone’s background.
