Make a small, clear suggestion
Say roughly when you are free, how long you would like to meet and what you might enjoy talking about. Coffee is optional — tea or another drink works too.
An example intentI have an hour on Saturday afternoon and would enjoy a coffee with company. We could talk about books or simply get acquainted. Let’s choose a café together.
Choose somewhere that works for both of you
Compare the area, prices, noise and access. A loud or crowded room is not comfortable for everyone. Agree a specific café and meeting point after the request is accepted.
Check the venue’s current opening hours before setting out. Kompanion does not verify venues or book tables.
Make simple expectations explicit
To avoid an awkward moment, you can agree upfront that each person pays for their own order. Agreeing costs does not create an obligation to stay or continue getting to know each other.
Meetings in this product are platonic. If the conversation or behavior crosses your boundaries, you can say so and end contact.
An ending can be simple too
When the agreed time is up, it is fine to thank the other person and leave. A second meeting is a new shared decision, not an automatic extension of the first.
Afterwards, each person separately records the outcome. If the plan falls through, communicate the cancellation rather than leaving someone waiting.
