Start with a small plan
“A walk around the centre on Saturday” or “finding a decent café near home” is enough for a first intent. You don’t have to search for “best friends” right away.
An example to adaptRecently moved. I’d like a weekend walk through the centre to see the city with my own eyes rather than a map. Company of one or two people.
Give the city and a general area
The city and a general neighbourhood are enough for a public intent. Agree the exact address and meeting point in the conversation after a request is accepted.
Kompanion doesn’t show how many participants are in a given city. The simplest check is to publish an intent and see the responses.
First meetings in busy places
A daytime walk in a park or coffee in the centre suits both getting acquainted and a city you don’t know yet. Skip remote places to begin with.
Company for a plan is a starting point
A shared walk doesn’t make someone a friend yet, and that’s fine. If you both enjoyed it, a next meeting becomes its own decision.
Regular formats — runs, board games, exhibitions — help turn one-off company into familiar faces.
